Mission International in a charity registered in Scotland which is run on Christian principles and values. There are three core elements to what we do:
- Evangelism: God calls his people to share the Good News about Jesus Christ. Mission International deploys teams in the developing world to fulfill this call.
- Discipleship: Jesus calls His Church to “Make disciples of all nations”, Mission International wants to make disciples.
- Supporting the poor: The Bible makes it very clear that a central part of Christian ministry is to share with the poor. Mission International has mission/project partners around the world to help us make this a reality. We commit to support the poor and marginalised, of any faith and of none.
Much of our work is initiated and carried out by self-financing Mission Teams who serve individuals and communities in the developing world supported by our donors at home.
Who you will be helping
The Mighty Meals Project is designed to provide a simple meal for needy children. For some the need is whilst they are at school. Many children do not attend school because no food is provided for them. Mighty Meals also provides food for malnourished children in remote communities where, due to poverty and illiteracy nutritious food is unavailable to them.
Mighty Meals also provides a special Christmas Day ‘BIG meal’ for needy children in 13 countries in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. The children are fed the BIG meal on Christmas Day and are told the Advent story as well as enjoy games, songs and dramas.
Food is prepared, cooked and served by local volunteers who make sure the children are assembled, served and that all of the clearing up is done afterwards.
Spread the word
